Jared Willard
Jared Willard (he/him) is an applied machine learning researcher, currently serving as a Machine Learning Postdoctoral Fellow at NERSC. His research involves developing and analyzing deep learning workflows and models for interdisciplinary applications, including hydrological prediction and weather and climate simulations. Before joining NERSC, Jared received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 2023, where his dissertation research focused on machine learning techniques for environmental variable time series predictions in unmonitored locations and physics-informed machine learning. He also received a BA in Computer Science, Physics, and Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Macalester College in 2015.
