Sam Welborn

Biographical Sketch
Sam Welborn earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in the study of synthesis and processing relationships of nanomaterials using X-ray scattering techniques. He is a NESAP for Data postdoctoral fellow in the Data Science Engagement Group. He is presently engaged in a collaborative project with the National Center for Electron Microscopy at Berkeley Lab. The focus of this collaboration is to facilitate real-time data processing for extremely large microscopy datasets using the computational resources at NERSC.
