Aaron Scantlin
Biographical Sketch
Aaron Scantlin graduated from University of Missouri - Columbia in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology from College of Engineering. From there, he began his professional career as a Security Analyst with the University of Missouri, eventually pivoting into a role as a Security Engineer for the Research Support Services group. He was also an Adjunct Instructor for the University's College of Engineering for five years, teaching an introductory course on computer security. He has earned his GSEC, GCFA and GNFA certifications through The SANS Institute. Aaron joined the security team at NERSC in 2022.
In his free time, Aaron helps run the world's largest monthly computer security meet-up, SecKC, based in Kansas City, Missouri, where he helps facilitate monthly meetings through his role as a member of the Code of Conduct, Audio, and Speaker teams. Aaron also enjoys sharing the knowledge he has gained over the years and has given talks at various security conferences all across the United States.
