Adam is the HPC User Environment Architect for the Programming Environments and Models group at NERSC. He works on simplifying the process to obtain good performance and high computational efficiency on Perlmutter through the use of the system software stack, system supported workflows, application optimization, and containerization.
Adam received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University in 2017, where he studied the effect of atmospheric turbulence on wind turbine aerodynamics. Adam worked as a research facilitator at Penn State, as a member of the Frontier and El Capitan Centers of Excellence for Cray/HPE, and as the HPC Liaison Lead at Cerebras prior to joining NERSC in 2023.
