An Honest Conversation About HPC Programming Languages
Panel Overview
This session is designed to foster open dialogue about the real-world challenges, trade-offs, and successes experienced when working with different programming languages in high-performance computing environments.
In “An Honest Conversation About HPC Programming Languages,” we're bringing together a diverse panel of HPC practitioners, performance engineers, computational scientists, and quantum enthusiasts to explore the trade-offs, challenges, and wins when using languages like C, Fortran, Python, Julia, and even emerging DSLs for HPC and quantum-classical hybrid workloads.
This session is for students, early-career researchers, experienced developers, and curious minds who want a behind-the-scenes look at language decisions made on some of the world’s most powerful computers.
