NERSC SF API training, May 16 2025

Introduction

NERSC is hosting a hands-on SFAPI training on May 16, 2025. The SF API (Superfacility Application Programming Interface) allows NERSC users to interact with our systems in a programmatic way using a REST interface. The API can be used to enable complex scientific workflows to monitor and run jobs on Perlmutter, build interactive apps, and much more.

This training will cover the following subjects:

• Interacting with the REST API through a web interface
• Authenticating with the API to run jobs
• Using the API with higher-level languages like Python

Please be aware that this is not intended for beginners to NERSC but for those that are thinking of automating their workflows and steering them from afar.

This training is remote, zoom link will be shared with attendees closer to the event.
