Description

NERSC will be hosting an in-person hackathon to run on Cori KNL nodes for all users who are interested in attending. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own application codes. After a brief compiling and running jobs on Cori KNL presentation, application teams can work with NERSC Application Readiness staff members and Intel experts on Compilers and Tools to evaluate your application performance and optimization strategy for improving code performance on the KNL nodes.  

Date and Time: Wednesday, March 7, 9 am - 5 pm.  Location: Building 59, Room 3101 (CRT Building, aka Wang Hall) at NERSC/LBNL

Note: There is an Intel Compilers, Tools, and Libraries Training on the previous day that we strongly suggest you to register as well, so that you can directly apply the information learned there towards the hackathon activity. 

Attendees who have an interest to obtain a personal license of Intel Parallel Studio tools, please contact Jeff Rodgers, Intel (email: jeff.rodgers  at  intel.com).

In person and Remote Connection Information

This event will mainly be in person at Building 59, Room 3101 (CRT Building, aka Wang Hall) at NERSC/LBNL (visitor info) in Berkeley, CA.  It is much more beneficial to attend a hackathon session in person than remotely.  

The brief presentation on Using KNL nodes will be available remotely via Zoom connection.
