2024 ALCF Hands-on HPC Workshop, Oct 29-31

Abstract

The ALCF is hosting an in-person, Hands-on HPC Workshop on October 29-31, 2024, at the TCS Conference Center at Argonne National Laboratory. The workshop will provide an opportunity for hands-on time on Polaris and AI Testbeds, focusing on porting applications to heterogeneous architectures (CPU + GPU), improving code performance, and exploring AI/ML applications development on ALCF systems. This workshop is open to NERSC users. 

Workshop participants will:

• Work directly with ALCF staff and industry experts during dedicated hands-on sessions
• Learn how to use available tools and frameworks to improve productivity and performance
• Hear from researchers running on early Aurora hardware
• Tour Argonne facilities, including Aurora

The registration deadline is Sept 16, 2024. The workshop tracks will be built around HPC Tools, Programming Models, AI/ML, Workflows, Vis, etc. Please share your interests in the registration form so we can better shape the agenda to your needs.

For attendees who wish to stay onsite, please book rooms on the Argonne Guest Housewebsite. During the workshop, there will be a free shuttle to and from the Guest House.
